At LittleOak, we believe we have a responsibility to care for the world our little ones will inherit. From our locally sourced, sustainable ingredients to our regenerative farming practices and sustainable shipping, we pour our hearts into every aspect of our little company – making sure Mother Earth is cared for too.  

In our efforts to nourish little ones across the globe, we recognise that we have a global footprint, and are actively working to streamline our processes to make our supply chain more sustainable. We wanted to share some of the good news with you... 

Local shipping – better for Mother Earth 

In the Unites States, we’re delighted to have commenced local packing and shipping operations. That’s right – the same formulation you know and love, now locally distributed for our American mums and dads. By bulk shipping our base powder from New Zealand to be packaged locally, we’ve cut our carbon footprint while simultaneously offering greater convenience to our American mums and dads. It’s a win-win!

At LittleOak, we also do our best to partner with brands who share our values and we're so lucky to work with those who uphold our commitment to the planet. We are proudly partnered with Visy, a global leader in sustainable packaging and resource recovery. Annually, they divert 1.9 million tonnes of materials away from landfill by collecting and sorting paper, glass, plastics and metals, and then turning them back into valuable packaging.  

And that’s not all!  We are delighted to share that we are replacing standard bubble wrap with 100% biodegradable, 100% recyclable paper bubble pouches, to keep your favourite LittleOak orders safe and secure on their journey to your family. While this is currently being rolled out for our Australian, Canadian and Global customers, we are working towards implementing this change across all our markets, so stay tuned.  

We’d also like to give a shoutout to our friends at Mainfreight, who help us get your LittleOak goodies from our farm to your doorstep. From rainwater harvesting to solar powered facilities and “bee hotels,” Mainfreight shares our commitment to sustainability at every step of the way.
