Our all-natural approach
Our baby formulas are inspired by nature and guided by a simple, less-is-more philosophy. Designed by a mum who wanted better for her own children, LittleOak carefully selects every ingredient to ensure your baby receives the most wholesome goodness—as nature intended.
Clean, premium ingredients in every feed
We source our beautiful, fresh, whole goat milk straight from grass-fed goats at our very own New Zealand farm, where they are milked daily in small batches. Sustainably produced and adhering to organic farming practices, our goat milk provides a more gentle and nourishing alternative to cow milk.
Why? Well, goat milk contains beautiful gut-loving prebiotics called milk oligosaccharides, which are much more similar to those found in breast milk, compared to cow milk. These prebiotics encourage the growth of the friendly bacteria that babies need, nurturing a gut closer to that of breastfed babies than cow milk does. Additionally, goat milk contains the smaller A2 protein, making it significantly easier for babies to digest than cow milk. It’s also lower in lactose, and its natural anti-inflammatory and prebiotic properties may reduce the risk of eczema, digestive issues, and other immune concerns—helping give your baby the best possible start in life.
While many goat milk formulas start with skim milk, which contains no natural milk fats, we use fresh whole goat milk, just as nature made it. In fact, every LittleOak can starts with nearly 3 litres of fresh, whole goat milk—never pre-dried powder. Because our little ones deserve the real thing, right from the very start.
And to protect all this natural goodness, we heat our milk only once—halving the traditional heating process—to preserve all its natural goodness and essential vitamins.

Here at LittleOak, we are proud to be the first formula in the world to be certified 100% palm oil free by the Palm Oil Free Certification Accreditation Programme (POFCAP).
Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil that comes from the fruit of oil palm trees. It is the most widely consumed vegetable oil in the world and continues to be a major driver of deforestation of some of the world’s most beautiful and biodiverse rainforests. Concerningly, palm oil is typically extracted from the palm kernel using chemical solvents like hexane, which is a form of petroleum. It is known to contribute to constipation in children and also inhibits the absorption of calcium, fats and DHA in babies—all important nutrients for healthy growth and development. At LittleOak, we’ve chosen a better path—one that nourishes your baby with the very best nutrition while protecting the planet they will inherit.

Breast milk contains a collection of essential fatty acids that are required for healthy development in babies and are critical to the functioning of the nervous system. Baby formulas must use a range of vegetable oils to achieve a similar balance of essential fatty acids found in breast milk. However, not all oils are created equal.
When making baby formulas, manufacturers have a choice: to use high-quality oils like coconut and flaxseed oil or more mass-produced, cheaper oils including canola and palm oil. At LittleOak, we don’t cut corners—and we don’t cut costs. That’s why we replaced standard canola with beautiful cold-pressed flaxseed oil, which we sustainably source from the South Island of New Zealand. We blend this with coconut oil and sunflower oil, which deliver essential oleic and linoleic fatty acids important for babies. Importantly, all our oils are pressed and do not use any chemicals or solvents, like hexane, to extract the oil from the plant husk.
Goat milk is naturally rich in over a dozen of the same prebiotic oligosaccharides found in human breast milk—special fibres that help nourish the growth of good bacteria in the gut. Instead of adding heavily processed, bioengineered HMOs (human milk oligosaccharides) we prefer to protect and preserve the naturally occurring oligosaccharides in goat milk, including galacto‑oligosaccharides (GOS), to provide natural prebiotics to our babies.
